Founded in 2017 in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia, Markland Guitarworks was established to build handcrafted guitars with authentic design, creating one-of-a-kind instruments for professional musicians. Our work is rooted in a deep respect for traditional craftsmanship, supported by thoughtful engineering and a modern design approach.

Inspired by the world’s cultural heritage and the timeless tradition of guitar making, we create instruments with strong character and individuality. Each piece is built with intention—reflecting both the player’s identity and our commitment to authentic, hands-on craftsmanship.

In 2025, Markland Guitarworks formally established PT Marka Cipta Musika as a registered company. This milestone represents our long-term commitment to quality, creativity, and the preservation of cultural values within the music industry, while expanding the reach of Indonesian-made instruments to a global audience.

Our mission is to build instruments that inspire musicians and collectors alike. Every guitar is designed with careful consideration of playability, tonal articulation, structural integrity, and balance—ensuring instruments that feel natural, responsive, and reliable over time.

The name Markland reflects our philosophy. “Mark” represents identity, craftsmanship, and the personal imprint behind each instrument. “Land” symbolizes a creative space where traditional luthiery meets modern engineering. This philosophy guides every detail, from neck profiles to body contours, shaping guitars that are both functional and expressive.

We do not mass-produce our guitars. Each instrument is built exclusively to order, allowing full attention to materials, construction, and individual setup. Our luthier team carefully selects tonewoods, hardware, and components to deliver articulate tone, refined playability, and a distinctive character unique to each instrument.
