Founded in 2017 in Bogor City, Indonesia, our journey began with a small, passionate team with deep respect for craftsmanship and a shared vision of design, building and maintain the instruments. Inspired by the richness of Indonesia’s cultural heritage and the dedicated timeless of luthiery, we set out to build instruments that carry character, and individuality — each one a reflection of our dedication to the art of handcrafted excellence.

In 2025, we formally established PT Marka Cipta Musika as a registered company — a milestone that reflects our commitment to quality, creativity, and the preservation of cultural heritage in the music industry.

The name Markland is drawn from this philosophy. “Mark” speaks to craftsmanship, identity, and the personal imprint behind every guitar. “Land” evokes a creative space — a place where tradition and innovation meet. Interestingly, Markland is also a historical name used by Norse explorers to describe newly discovered lands — wild, full of potential, and waiting to be shaped.
