How to Place a Custom Order

Design Request Submission
For inquiries, please email us at admin@marklandguitarworks.com. For special custom orders, use the subject: Special Custom Order [Your Name]

Or you can submit your custom custom specification through online custom builder.

Specification Approval
Once your guitar specifications are reviewed and approved, we will issue a formal quotation along with an order number and a copy of your submitted inquiry for your reference.

Price Confirmation
Once you submit your custom guitar specifications, we will provide a detailed price estimate that reflects all selected components and any additional features. If you are using our Online Guitar Builder, please note that the price displayed is an initial estimate based on the information you enter. You will receive an official invoice via email, which includes the final total price, the estimated production timeline, and a secure PayPal payment link associated with PT Marka Cipta Musika. The invoice will also outline the required 50% deposit, which must be paid to confirm your order and begin production.

Payment Terms & Process
To begin processing your order, we require a minimum 50% (fifty-percent) non-refundable deposit of the total price.
Payments must be made only to the Bank Account or PayPal Account specified in the invoice. The remaining balance and shipping cost will be invoiced seven (7) days prior to shipment of your guitar.
Please note:

Prices do not include shipping, insurance, or packaging costs. These will be added to the final invoice.
Shipping will be calculated in a separate invoice when your build is ready for dispatch.
A separate invoice for shipping will be sent three (3) days before the scheduled delivery date.
We are not responsible for any transfer errors or financial fraud risks. Always verify payment details carefully.

Order Review
Once your order is confirmed and the deposit is received, we will carefully review your specifications to ensure the design, aesthetics, and functionality meet our quality standards.
Please note: No further changes can be made once your order enters the production queue.

Design & Specifications
We will transform your design brief into a detailed technical specification.
Once all components are confirmed, we’ll send a final price quote for approval. We then begin the in-depth design phase, including an illustrated model of your custom guitar.

Final Inspection
Each instrument must pass a comprehensive quality control checklist to ensure it meets our high standards. We also set up your guitar according to your preferred tuning and string gauge.

We are committed to ensuring that every guitar we produce undergoes through quality inspection to meet both our standards and your specific requirements. The final inspection includes:

Body and Neck: Materials, construction, and finishing quality.
Fret Wire: Fret height, edge finishing, and radius consistency.
Hardware: Bridge, tuning machines, control knobs, nut, and covers.
Electronics: Wiring systems, continuity testing, selector switches, potentiometers, and pickup performance.
Accessories: Additional hardware, spare strings, and a multifunctional maintenance tool included in the package.
Final Setup Check: String action, string tension, intonation, truss rod adjustment, playability test, and chromatic tuning evaluation.

Shipping Terms

Your instrument will be shipped with full insurance coverage based on its declared value (Guitar price), using secure packaging.

A tracking number (airway bill) will be sent to your email upon dispatch. We will recommend a suitable shipping operator or courier service for the delivery of your instrument.

Shipping policies will be subject to the terms and conditions of the selected operator or courier service.

We work with trusted partners for both domestic and international deliveries (JNE, Pos Indonesia, EMS, DHL and UPS). All shipping operator may offering a range of pricing and Estimated Time Delivery (ETD).

The guitar (item) will be measured based on volumetric dimensions and weight in accordance with the courier's regulations. Packaging costs will be included in the total shipping fee.

Wooden crates is highly recommended for guitar shipments to ensure maximum protection. Please note that this may affect the total shipping cost due to the increased weight.

Shipping fees will include packaging charges, insurance coverage, and delivery costs, all in line with the courier or shipping operator's policies.

Customs Clearance and Import Responsibilities (Overseas Shipping)

The recipient will be responsible for any taxes imposed, such as import duties or customs fees applicable in the destination country.

We are not liable for any customs regulations or selective import restrictions enforced by the destination country. In the event of additional procedures, such as quarantine inspections, any associated costs will be the responsibility of the recipient.

Design the Instrument
Once your design is submitted, our team will begin the preparation and refinement phase. This includes reviewing your specifications, developing the technical design files, and validating all component selections. This process typically requires 2–3 weeks from the date of your order. Upon completion, we will deliver a comprehensive design presentation for your review to ensure that every detail accurately reflects your requested specifications before moving forward to production.

Making the Instrument
Once your specifications are finalized and approved, we begin the designing process of your custom guitar.
Each instrument is crafted with high-quality materials to ensure exceptional tone, durability, and performance. We exclusively use brand-new, in-box (BNIB) hardware and electronic components, sourced from authorized dealers and trusted manufacturing partners.

Production Process Updates
We will provide updates at three key stages of the production process:
1. Milling: The guitar body and neck have been shaped (Unfinished Body and Neck)
2. Finishing: Completed Painting and detailing works
3. Final Documentation: The guitar has been fully assembled and has passed quality control inspection

Please note that certain custom options may require additional time, so the timing of updates may vary depending on the complexity of your build.

Musical Instrument Functional & Aesthetic Feasibility
All specifications must support the fundamental function, structural integrity, and aesthetic balance of the instrument. Markland Guitarworks reserves the right to recommend adjustments if certain requested specifications may affect playability, durability, or overall design harmony.

Natural Wood Grain Variation
Wood grain, figuring, and color will naturally vary and may differ from reference images. These are not considered defects.

Finish Appearance and Display
Colors and finishes may appear different depending on lighting, device screen settings, and wood absorption. Slight variation from reference images is normal in custom finishes.

Tone, Feel & Weight
Tone character, neck feel, resonance, and final instrument weight are influenced by natural materials and personal perception, and may vary from expectations.

Changes After Approval
Once the specifications have been approved for production, changes may be limited or not possible depending on the build stage.

Handcrafted Characteristics
Minor signs of handcrafting are part of a boutique-built instrument and contribute to its unique character.

Reference Images
Any images provided by the customer are used as visual references only. Exact duplication of wood grain, finish texture, or color tone cannot be guaranteed

Build Based on Approved Specs
Markland Guitarworks will build the instrument strictly according to the specifications that have been reviewed and approved by the customer.
